What is a connector, actually?

It's how your AI assistant gets skills it doesn't come with. You already know the For Impact skills — altitude, funding rationale, engagement tools, big bets. The connector bundles those skills, plus our data, and puts them inside your own chat.

You've been chatting with a smart generalist that has never met your organization — or ours. The connector walks it into the For Impact building: our frameworks, our templates, our coaching history, our funder database configuration, and your own document library. Same chat box. Different capability.

What does it cost me?

Nothing. Your cohort covers it. You get a monthly allowance of AI tokens (coaching + deep research draw from it; database lookups are unlimited and free). The meter resets on the 1st of each month.

What do you do with my data?

We do not keep your prospect lists or documents — the terms say exactly that, in plain language. We learn from how the tools are used (the kinds of questions asked) to make our coaching tools better; that usage log is de-identified and never contains your prospects' names.

What happens when my tokens run out?

Coaching and Deep Research pause until the monthly reset; database lookups keep working. Your cohort lead can see usage and may adjust budgets.

A research run says "draft" — what does that mean?

Long research runs stop early if they hit their budget. You still get the draft brief; treat it as unfinished and consider re-running.

I opened the connector link and got an error.

That's expected — the connector URL isn't a web page, so a browser shows "Unauthorized" if you open it directly. Nothing is broken. Copy the URL from the setup page and paste it into your AI assistant's connector settings instead.
